Hello, My name is Kyle Fearing. I was going to introduce myself in the other thread but there wasnt a reply button. So.......I thought this would work. Anyways, I'm 24, live in New London, Ohio. Ive been shooting for roughly 4 to 5 years now. Thomas was the one that got me into the "actual shooting part of" photography. Although my brother has always been an influence on me. He is a photographer in the military for 8 years now I think. And been shooting even longer, but thats besides the point......we're talking about me now not him lol. I shoot with a Canon 20D I own 2 lens; A Sigma 24-70mm and a Canon 50mm. I started shooting landscapes mainly but now I mostly shoot portraits. Im still behind a little on the technical portions of most but Im still learning and I think my photographs are getting better all the time. I also shoot weddings, Ive helped Thomas and Sara out in a few of theirs but due to the circumstances that has made me move to Ohio I will be assisting my cousin as well as taking on a few by myself. *so wish me luck on those lol* Well I guess that about sums everything up. If you think of anything that I can help with I will be more than happy. It will be awesome if this site picks up again, Im looking forward to meeting and hearing from the new faces that will join in the future as well as the older friends Ive already made from this site in the previous years.

Sorry about that. Apparently the whole site news section was restricted for staff only. (My fault...) You should have the ability to reply to this thread now. BTW, welcome back!

Hi Strangers! My name is Drew, I'm 21, living in Michigan. I've known Sara for a while and she recommended the site to me. It's pretty fair to say that I'll be representing the hobbyist photographers with my Canon PowerShot. I really like photography and wish I could invest in a nice DSLR or even a newer point and shoot, but college continues to suck up most of my money (and time). Besides photography I', heavily invovled in my university's theatre department building sets and hanging/focusing/running the lighting for their shows. It's nice to meet everyone; I'm hoping to learn a lot and improve my skills.

its fine, are you not going to introduce your self? Right, I guess I should do that since I am the ADMIN. I started out with photography as a simple hobby with a point and shoot about 6 years ago. I always loved scenery taking pictures for as long as I can remember. After a few years of traveling for work, I began to really pursue my hobby further and slowly upgraded my camera as I needed. First I went to a Sony DSC-H1 which had manual controls like an SLR and eventually moved to the Canon SLR system which is what I shoot with now. I am now building a small side company shooting weddings. Although my main passion is still landscape photography, I have a new love for capturing an important event in a persons life in my own way. I also have a lot of interest in commercial type photography. I think it would be pretty cool to further pursue several types of commercial work in particular that interest me. I have a personal website for my freelance work at: www.ThomasMcKownPhoto.comMy professional website aimed towards portraiture and weddings is at: www.TMPStudios.net

Hello! My name is Sam Adams, I'm 28 and I am based out of Toledo Ohio. My foray into photography began in college where I took two basic film courses, I loved shooting old barns and urban decay. Photography took a back seat for long time until I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in 2005. In September of 2005 I founded Everlasting Weddings LLC, a company dedicated primarily towards wedding photography. My initial gear consisted of nothing more than Rebel XT and a Rebel film body. Business quickly took off and we are now shooting between 30-35 weddings per year. I have a very simple style, I like the images I produce to be clean and timeless. The only editing I do is basic exposure, contrast, and color adjustments. I hate printing cropped images, because I want the final print to be the exact same framing as the original shot, so my office is decorated in 8x12's and 16x24's. I approach each wedding from a fashion perspective, and I love the contrast that old architecture provides against a new white wedding gown. I have also developed my skills with off camera flash, which has taken my work in a new direction. My business consists of 4 shooters, primarily myself, my brother, my wife, and our newest addition Joe. I look forward to what this board can provide! My website is: www.everlastingimages.biz

It's cool to see that photography runs in the family, looking forward to seeing things from everyone But yus, an introduction of me. I'm Ricky, 18 23 years old and currently residing in southern California. I've known Sara for a while now, so she prodded me into joining up here. I'm only just starting to pickup photography as a hobby now; started a couple of years ago when I got a Fujifilm FinePix S700 as a Christmas present, though more recently I got the itch and purchased a Nikon D5000 for a pretty good steal of a price. Still have a lot of learning to do for sure, so it would be nice to get some input from everyone in the future I'm mainly into landscape photography, and I love making panoramic images, so that's mostly what a lot of my shots consist of at the moment. I have a few things up online, which I'll end up posting a couple of favorites here soon enough. But yeah, really only just starting out now that I have the new camera. I know I have a lot to learn, but, I enjoy just going out and about with the camera in hand so learning won't be too painful of a process for me

OK, so no one is ever going to read this because it's eight million paragraphs long. (I'm a writer, I can't help it.) But if you do, yay. This is more like a biography. >.>
Bonjour, my name is Sara Adams and I am the sister of Sam Adams and cousin to Kyle Fearing.
I've been taking photographs for a total of seven years (Wow, it has been that long?) and for the most part had been doing freelance. My first ever camera was a Canon Powershot A410 and then I moved onto a Fujifilm of some sort (can't be bothered to remember.) but I really fell in love with photography when I got a Canon SLR.
I worked with my brother Sam as an assistant for his photography business called Everlasting Images for about a year or two; doing mostly wedding photography. I found it so fun to document someones special occasion that I decided that this was one of the things I wanted to do with my life.
During the time period of working with Sam, I inherited his Canon XT and some lenses which helped me grow and learn as a photographer. I soon relocated to Tennessee and found myself working with my boyfriend and his business TMP Studios as a second lead photographer. I am now using a Canon 30D and an XTi for backup.
My photography gear consists of a Canon 70-200mm IS L, Canon 50mm, Tamron 28-75, Canon 28-135 IS, a cheapo fisheye lens, and I often borrow Thomas's lenses and 5D camera. I hope to soon invest in a 5D MKII and some more prime lenses.
I love freelance and consider my freelance work to be more so art than photography. I have an eye for details and always seem to notice the littlest things. I am a huge fan of abstract things and urban settings; I get the most enjoyment out of photography when I am doing freelance work and letting my creativity flow and my surroundings inspire me.
However, a year or so ago my freelance inspiration was crushed and I am a struggling artist trying to find that part of me again. Today I am mostly shooting weddings and other things business wise, but on occasion I will shoot a random picture here and there for the sake of it. When I am shooting weddings I always come from an artist perspective and try to bring a lot of my freelance style into the business.
I am not much of a nerd when it comes to the technical side of photography, but rather someone who simply picks up and camera and goes from there. I guess that would mean I am an artistic photographer who just shoots and gets good stuff? XD I am here hoping to learn more of the technical side of things and grow with other photographers.
Woo, OK I'm done. :] I ended up writing a novel.
--- Also, welcome Kyle, Sam, Ricky, Drew, and Billy Mays! It's great to have you all on the forum.

Hi everyone! I'm Steven and I'm glad you all made it here and I'm glad I got invited as well. For me Photography started way back when I was about 12..my Dad had an old camera and decided to make a darkroom downstairs and at that point I just likes hanging with Dad in the dark. lol. My last year I'd High School I took a photography class and loved being behind the camera instead of watching the prints come alive. After school I hit the real world and my camera disappeared into a box. Jumping forward a whole lot of years to 2005, we as in my wife and I were taking some pictures with our Sony point and shoot and a friend said "you make a great pair and you should start a photography business" so I did...in Dec 2005 Marshall Photography was created and we started with a Canon Rebel xt and a 18-55mm and a junk zoom lens. Lol. We also brought brought studio lights and backgrounds and for the first 6 months we used our dining room as a studio. After those first 6 months we converted our 20x20x10 barn into a studio and after making it all pretty inside we still use it...however next year we are adding on. We have upgraded over the years and now shoot with a Canon 5D mkii and a 7D. We are getting the 135mm 2.0 lens next month but for right now we have the 17-40mm f4, 50mm f1.4, 24-70mm f2.8 and the 70-200mm f2.8 lens(all Canon lenses) We mainly photograph seniors but do weddings and families as well. I don't like using the studio a whole lot although its nice to have...we just love driving around and making use of the good old flat Ohio. Yes, we live in Ohio and I know Thomas through Sam Adams who lives not far from us. Since I still have a full time job, Dawn my wife does 95% of the portraits now while I'm the "light handler" or "bag boy" lol. I enjoy designing albums and editing so I don't feel left out and I do plan to shoot more as we get overwhelmed with sessions. I'm looking forward to lots of awesome post from everyone and just enjoying the company of other photographers. Steven
