One of my favorite one light shots, we elevated the 60" umbrella directly overhead and then had her look into it. Canon 1D MKII, ISO 50, 1/250th, 135mm L @ f/2.8

Beautiful! Did you happen to take a horizontal one as well?

I love this! Sometimes it is much better to keep the lighting simple... I have a tendency to over-light stuff sometimes and need to remember to K.I.S.S.

I did also take a horizontal, I'll upload it this evening. You lie! It is now the 26th! I really like this shot, it's one of my current favorite shots you've taken. I love the pose and expression of the model, the bokeh in the back, and the lighting. Everything is dead on. (:

That picture is nice too!
I love her expression. I do think the vertical works a lot better though as it really brings your focus to the subject and you get to see all the awesome detail in the background.
Man, if that first picture you posted was of me, I would blow it up huge and put it in a cool antique looking frame.
I really love that shot! (:

I think that this one is one of my new favorites though: I just need to photoshop that hair that fell across her jaw line out. I think the wide shot actually works in this case, I wasn't as pleased with the verticals.
