Here is a small start to the images from my trip to Colorado last week. I will be adding to these as I get them edited: This is Maroon Lake in the Maroon Bells park near Aspen, CO: This was near Grand Lakes, CO in a small campground: Hope you like them, and again I will add more to them when I can!

Thanks Kyle! I have a couple more milky way shots I want to show as well. I will try to get them on here soon.
I actually do not have as many landscape shots from this trip as I would have liked... never really had any great lighting. But I still got a few that are decent. Again I will post them when I get them edited.

Absolutely beautiful, Dennis! I am blown away. I can't choose a favorite because they're so different from each other, but I would love to have the landscape shot framed in my apartment. Thanks for making me want to go to Colorado. Can't wait to see more!

Curse you! These shots are great! I'm happy to see you putting the new equipment to work and loving it. I can't wait to see more.

I really like the first and third image. 70-200 goodness! (: How far back were you from the Elk? I imagine quite far. Whatever that thing is in the third image, I want to take it home.

I was probably about 100-150 feet away from the elk... they are pretty much used to people being near. They don't really move unless you get really close. The critter in the 3rd photo is a marmot, which is basically a groundhog. Not sure it would be a really good pet

Sure it would! I would build fake mountains out of rocks and treat it like a fat funny looking cat. (: Now go kidnap marmot for me! Also, I cannot wait to see the other landscapes you have to show. (: Did you happen to get anymore star shots?

Yeah I did get some more star shots and will hopefully have them and a few more edited today. I just got back home last night but don't have much going on today so should be a good day for editing.
